Ideas: Minneapolis in '73

The Minneapolis in '73 bid is one of the longer-running fannish traditions. When Minneapolis dropped out of the race for the 1973 Worldcon (in the old Central Zone; Toronto 2 won) the bidding committee decided that while they didn't want to win the Worldcon, they did enjoy bidding and so continued their Minneapolis in '73 parties long afterwards.

We'll put up a board with an explanation of the bid, some of its flyers (including Ken Fletcher artwork) and a Mpls in '73 Zeppelin overhead and perhaps some Authentic Mpls in '73 Party Decorations. We'll also include a do-it-yourself Mpls in '73 pre-support kit: Sign the list and take a shiny new 1973 penny from the cup.
